Originally trained in illustration at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design, Alex has worked in studios in London, Sydney, Bristol, Nashville and Oxford. In recent years he has worked and collaborated with a number of mural artists based in oxford. He believes that working outside on ephemeral art, frees his way of working and liberates him from ownership and problems of storage. Art should be seen and not sat in cupboards for years. Working in the street is also a good way of using existing surfaces. Scaling up becomes important and working out how to do this with sketches is a welcome challenge.

Alex also creates digital sketches again solving a problem of storage whilst working out how technology can solve creative problems. He has worked in studios in the UK and overseas and has had the opportunity of having worked with different artists with different disciplines at different points through his artistic career. Alex enjoys a variety of subjects from everyday occurrences to political criticism. He enjoys working in acrylics, oil paints, pen drawings, spray painting and digital mediums. He is open to commissions and to selling work displayed on this page.
